Zombie Strippers
Zombie Strippers

Alright, calm down, this isn't "just" a stripper movie.  This is a pretty funny and very entertaining film, with some great acting and rediculous premise.  B-movie gold!

Yeah, yeah, I know what you're all thinking: "I know why YOU watched that movie *wink wink*".  And sure, I mean there are strippers who turn into zombies, and that's all well and good (sometimes not all that good) but the reason I wanted to write a review for this movie is to let people know that there's a lot more to it than shameless T&A.

This starts out on hilarious staging of a dystopian future: George W. Bush wins his 4th consecutive election and the world has gone to shit.  To handle a troop shortage and increasing wars, a "toxic chemo virus" to reanimate dead tissue is created and subsequently spreads to an illegal underground strip club (outlawed due to a ban on public nudity).  Outside of taking some swings at GWB (which I'm fine with) the fake news report about how the world is actually has no real bearing on the rest of the movie, but hey that's fine as it offers a few laughs.

The rest of the movie can be summed up pretty easily: turning into zombies gives the strippers super-stripping power, and a hunger for flesh, and their bitchy, catty nature offers some pretty epic fight scenes.  Caught in the mix are a few people trying to survive as the patrons of the club are one-by-one turned into zombies.  Robert Englund is the owner of the strip club, and does just an awesome job in his role.  Yes, this movie is cheesy, but it's funny and very entertaining.  Plenty of gore and taint thrown around too.  This has the same humor elements worked in, kind of like 2001 Maniacs (another great performance by Englund in that too!), and it is definitely worth checking out.  Hopefully you enjoy it for more than just the strippers...
