Still hilarious, and still rocking, The Gothsicles are back at it again!

What is there to say about The Gothsicles?  Their tongue-in-cheek, hilarious tunes have earned them well-deserved praise over the years.  Their second album, "Sega Lugosi's Dead" brings more of the same 8-bit goodness and witty lyrics, but to leave it at that would not be doing them credit.  It may seem silly to use the term "matured", given the nature of their music, but The Gothsicles have done just that.  It's apparent right from the start with "Infl8-R" that the level of production has gone way up.  Not that there was anything wrong with what we heard on NESferatu, but with this album the band opens up the floodgates of sound and assaults you with some serious EBM arrangements, as well as the more traditional 8-bit synth lines.

As an added bonus to the listed tracks, there are a few hidden tracks that are also great.  I'm loathe to wreck the surprise, but let's say one of them is a familiar classic TV theme song.

So if you've never taken The Gothsicles seriously before... well, now isn't the time to start.  They're screaming about "Baaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllssss", and not taking anything serious, but that's why we love them.  Still, this is a great album, and is a must listen.  Before you know it, you'll be screaming "Eff the Sun" too.
